Description
VA A/E IDIQ Solicitations Question and Answers Dated April 18, 2013 1.Will there be a requirement to use Revit? No - the VA uses AutoCAD the requirement is for AutoCAD. 2.The second amendment also indicates the requirement for the Architect, Structural Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, and Electrical Engineer to be "State Licensed". Will FAR 52.236-25 apply? Yes - FAR 52.236-25 does apply to the IDIQs. 3.Line item number (2) on the updated solicitation lists services that will be included in the IDIQ contract. Should we submit a personnel resume for each specific listed service or is it appropriate to confirm that we can provide these services within our team structure-in the body of our submittal? No resumes are necessary except for the main members of your team. Please confirm in your proposal that you will be able to provide the appropriate personnel if needed. We do want to know that you will be able to provide the disciplines as the task orders require. You don't have to have all those people employed until you need them. 4.Will a site visit be schedule for this solicitation? No. No site visits are scheduled for the A/E IDIQs. 5.I noticed in the latest update several engineering disciplines are noted as "(State licensed, able to stamp and sign drawings)". Does this mean licensed in the state where the project is located? If so can we note that we will obtain such licenses prior to the start of work? Please do not incur any cost in licensing any of your employees. The awardee will be required to provide the licensed employees per task order as required in each task order. The reason for the license is to be able to stamp the drawings submitted. 6.Are the evaluation criteria in descending order of importance? There is no order of importance for the criteria. 7.Could you please provide more information for the term "Technology Design Specialist"? It is basically an IT Designer that deals in networking usually it is a CISCO Certificate but really they deal in cabling and networking for A/E's. 8.Of the specific disciplines the solicitation requests, can the VA please elaborate on the following, explaining in further detail what each role will entail: Communication Designer - Communications Designer - deals with all aspects of transforming information and ideas into visual forms. Course work involves a wide range of verbal and visual language systems. Designs relate to extensive communications applications involving various aspects of society. Representative solutions utilize graphic design, corporate identity, publications design, computer graphics, and typography. Security Design Specialist? Security Design Specialist - This is an IT Designer who designs IT security as well as Secure IT areas. Technology Design Specialist? Technology Design Specialist - This is a tech designer in networking and computer sciences. 9.Electronic Submission Requirements a.Only one document can be submitted for your proposal b.The proposal document cannot exceed 5M c.The proposal document must reach my email by 2:00pm on April 30, 2013. The date and time of my email will be the official date and time that your proposal is received. d.There was no specified number of projects to submit on the SF330 Section F. In accordance with the instructions on the SF330 - 10 projects are to be submitted.
