Description
The purpose of this acquisition is to procure Cafeteria Services at the HDI Federal Center in Battle Creek, MI. The Contractor shall establish and operate in the contractor’s name, the food service facilities at the HDI Federal Center for the purpose of dispensing food, nonalcoholic beverages and such other items as may be authorized by the Contracting Officer (CO) in accordance with the terms and conditions of this solicitation. This cafeteria is to be operated for the benefit of an average of approximately 1850 building occupants and 50 visitors daily. There are a few times a year that there will be an influx of about 200 visitors. The COR should be able to provide a 48 hour notice to the contractor of at least 48 hours (in most cases) before the large influxes. The performance period for this requirement is one five-year base period with two five-year options. The estimated start date is September 1, 2013. The NAICS code for this requirement is 722310 with a size standard of $35.5 million dollars. Proposals will be evaluated on factors listed in the forthcoming solicitation, inclusive of the federal wellness program. A pre-proposal conference is tentatively scheduled for May 14, 2013 (the actual date and details will be stated in the solicitation). The solicitation will be available on or about May 9, 2013; the actual date for receipt of proposals will be stated in the solicitation. The solicitation will be available for download through the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) (fedbizopps.gov) website. All interested vendors must be registered with this website in order to download the solicitation and amendments. Offerors will be responsible for downloading the solicitation and for monitoring FBO for amendments and/or additional information. See the solicitation for more information. The current contractor is Sodexo Management, Inc., located in Gaithersburg, MD. Because these specifications are performance based, it is the responsibility of the Offeror to review the entire solicitation and base their proposal on the forthcoming solicitation.
