Description

This pre-solicitation notice is to inform that the VA Medical Center, Bath, New York will be posting a Request for Quotation on or about May 3, 2013 to replace the stage rigging at Building 92 Auditorium, Project No. 528A6-13-626. All will follow, but not limited to, the VA Master specifications as outlined in VA Handbook 7610 and in VA manuals. The work shall be completed in a manner such that it shall meet all specifications and current codes, federal, state, and local, for the equipment, materials, and also safety, ie OSHA. There are 13 rope rigging sets, 4 existing counterweight rigging sets, and stage curtains that need to be replaced as they are not fire rated. This scope of work covers the fabrication, furnishing, delivery, and installation of a performance rigging system and the demolition and removal of all existing parts and pieces pertaining thereto. The Rigging Contractor shall provide a complete, fully functional system as described herein. Included Work: Demolition and removal of the Existing counter weight rigging sets, stage curtains, track and hardware. Upon completion of the actual installation of the actual equipment and items, the contractor will provide, 8 hours of training to the staff at the Bath VA. One 8 hour training session with up to 15 VA personal attending. This procurement is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses'. The NAICS code is 238990. The small business standard is $14 M. The cost range is $25,000 to $100,000. Information regarding the one and only site visit scheduled will be stated in the RFQ.
