- The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Pittsburgh Regional Office, Vocational Rehabilitation & Employment Service (VR&E), Pittsburgh, PA is requesting construction of handicap accessible bathroom, concrete pads, and accessible lifts. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supplies and supervision necessary to complete residential home modification consistent with meeting the independent living needs of a disabled Veteran. The Government's estimated construction time for the project is 120 days. This based on the most current information available to date. Updated information will be posted electronically on Federal Business Opportunities as it becomes available. Magnitude of construction is between $100,000 and $250,000. The SITE VISIT WILL TAKE PLACE 11:00, Thursday, Apr 25, 2013. Place of Performance: Seward, PA. Due to the project is residential and respecting the privacy of the disabled veteran, please email Bonnie.Robinson@va.gov for location of the project. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236118, and the small business size standard is $33.5M. The government anticipates award of a firm fixed price contract. This requirement is a [ Service-Disabled Veteran Owned ] set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit bids. Offerors must be listed in the VetBiz.gov Vendor Information Pages at www.vetbiz.gov, and the System Award Management (SAM) www.sam.gov formerly known as "Central Contractor Registration (CCR)" and "Online Representations and Certification (ORCA)". Please ensure that all certification and representation are updated in SAM. Contractors must be certified for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) in accordance with 38 USC 8127(d). The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offeror--Commercial Items (June 2008), applies to this solicitation. Award will be made to the offeror representing the best value to the Government. All proposals will be evaluated in accordance with technical capability, compliance with the solicitation requirements and price. All interested qualified sources are requested to provide a brief capabilities statement. As part of your capability statement please include any current or past contracts you have been awarded or the ability to obtain sufficient proof of capability for this type of contract
