Description

SOL-OAA-13-000058 The Policy Advisor/Planner is part of the Policy and Program Division in DCHA Bureau's Office of Program, Policy and Management (PPM). The PPM Office reports directly to the DCHA Assistant Administrator. With a staff of over 20 professionals, it plays a crucial role creating coherence within the DCHA Bureau around shared goals, objectives and frameworks. When a Crisis Working Group (CWG) is established, PPM is charged with supporting it by serving as the Deputy in CWGs. In this capacity, for each crisis, under the direction of the CWG chair, the Policy Advisor/Planner will represent the DCHA Bureau policy and program issues to external stakeholders, while ensuring the flow of information to the DCHA Front Offices and with involved line offices. As the Deputy, the Policy Advisor/Planner will manage and track all tasking for the Bureau related to the crisis, and will often draft papers, memorandum, talking points and other documents that support the positions and portray the Bureaus efforts. The objective of this recruitment is to ensure that DCHA has a highly qualified Policy Advisor/Planner who will represent DCHA when a CWG is established and fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the position.
