- Description
- Revised Responses to Questions asked - new questions/answers *NOTE* NFPA 1981 and 1982-2007 edition requires SCBA cylinders to be Hydrostatic tested every 5 years. AAFB Fire Department has 194 SCBA cylinders that need to be Hydrostatic tested between the months of September 2013 to November 2013. Due to this equipment being mission essential for Firefighters to perform their job we cannot send out all 194 SCBA cylinders at once. To ensure our firefighters can still perform their job we can afford to send 50 cylinders at a time to be tested. Even though it seems off-island shipping would make it impractical to complete in the required 3 month span, if this were proposed in a quote the contractor would also need to include the cost of on-site packaging and associated shipping costs to and from the Andersen AFB Fire Department.
