- The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, contracting and procurement IBCT product line intends to issue a solicitation requesting proposals for dry-dock repairs for the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter BRIDLE (WYTL 65607) a 65 foot "B Class" small harbor tug. The Coast Guard intends to conduct this procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. This procurement will be issued as a small business set aside. The NAICS code will be 336611 and the small business size standard will be less than 1000 employees. The solicitation will be issued as a best value request for proposal (RFP) approximately 23 April 2013 with proposals due approximately 23 May 2013. Proposals will be evaluated using price and past performance as evaluation factors with past performance being more important than price. The solicitation/RFP will be issued via the Federal Business Opportunity (FedBizOpps) website at http://www.fbo.gov/. A hard copy solicitation will not be issued. Contractors will need to monitor the FedBizOpps website for RFQ/solicitation release and any subsequent amendments. The home pier of the vessel is Southwest Harbor, ME. The vessel is geographically restricted to a distance no further than 175 nautical miles from its home pier. The period of performance (based on the cutter's availability) is: 13 August - 25 September 2013. The place of performance will be at the contractor's facility.
