Description

This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT to conduct market research for developing a procurement strategy for a possible upcoming opportunity entitled, quote mark Seahurst Park PHII Ecosystem Restoration quote mark. Please note that this announcement is for planning purposes only. The purpose of this notice is to measure the interest of Small Businesses (SB), 8(a), Small Disadvantage Business (SDB), Woman Owned Business, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), or HUBZone prime contractor business sources and their size classifications relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 237990 quote mark Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction quote mark (Size Standard of $33.5 Million) for the subject opportunity. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Seattle District requires the removal of approximately 1,800 LF of seawall and riprap and 3 buried gabion structures from the shoreline at Seahurst Park. The work will also include beach restoration, topographic restoration, and revegetation. A drift sill is included in order to reduce long-term maintenance of the restored beach to the south. The project creates a restored North Creek mouth, with replacement of a small existing culvert under the pathway/emergency access with a larger culvert, removal and relocation of the existing fish ladder, and restoration of freshwater and sediment inputs from North Creek to the restored beach. Additional work also includes establishing a freshwater wetland of a small scale. All work is considered nearshore work and will need to be completed within a fish window. Heavy marine construction under tidal conditions is required. Seahurst is a high visible public park that attracts many visitors year round; experience working in highly visible public locations is also required. The project is located at Seahurst Park in Burien, Washington. The estimated cost range for this project is $5M - $10M. REQUIREMENTS: Provide the following in response to this sources sought synopsis: 1.Your company's name, address and CAGE code and/or DUNS number 2.Two examples of past experience projects of heavy marine construction using a barge to transport materials to and from a shoreline site in tidal conditions. Examples should include the following information: a.A description of the work; b.Dollar amount of the work; c.Location of the work d.Contact information for the past experience project. 3.Bonding Information: a.Provide the following, on the bonding company's letterhead: i.Bonding Limits 1.Single Bond 2.Aggregate b.Proof the contractor can provide bonding for the maximum order for a single item of $5,000,000.00. c.Length of time the contractor has been associated with the bonding company. d.Claims History and Outstanding Claims of the Contractor. e.Surety to be used for Performance and Payment Bonds. f.Other commitments that might interfere with performance of the contract.
