- Description
- Eglin Air Force Base Contractor Access Badge Affidavit The Air Force Research Laboratory Munitions Directorate (AFRL/RW), Flexible Weapon (FW) Team will host an Industry Day on 23 July 2013. The FW Program is a concept of the Weapons Enterprise which spans S&T activities across all of the AFRL Directorates. The Industry Day will provide a forum by which the FW Team can communicate technologies of interest for open systems architecture design and development of the FW Program technologies. The event will focus on core architecture design and overall modularity for the FW concept. Additional key considerations of this focus are as follows: Cost; Materials & Manufacturing; Effects & Payloads; Propulsion; and Apertures, Processors & Sensors. During the event, the FW Team will present a programmatic overview, current and future operational challenges, science and technology opportunities, cross-Directorate contributions, and operational design requirements. This will drive discussions on future opportunities for collaboration and partnering in developing a FW concept. These presentations will be given to all attendees in the morning where questions are highly encouraged. In the afternoon and through the afternoon of 26 Jul, breakout sessions will be held with individual companies to discuss potential collaboration. A SECRET clearance or higher is required for attendance. Because this will be held at the classified level, foreign participation is NOT authorized. Event Attendance and Breakout Sessions: Requests to attend this meeting should be provided via email to afrl.rw.flexwpn@eglin.af.mil. Due to space constraints, companies are limited to six representatives per company and will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis up to the conference center's capacity, after which a wait list will be established. In this response, please include the names of attendees with Eglin Air Force Base Access Affidavits (see attached) filled out for each attendee. Also, be sure to include which attendees will be interested in having a breakout session. Accommodations will be made by government personnel. Responses are due by 2 July 2013. Please note that attendance information will NOT be available to the public. The Government will send a confirmation email to each company to confirm attendance. In this confirmation email, an informational packet will be attached along with detailed technical requirements of the Flexible Weapon. This technical data will be at the FOUO/Distribution D Level and will require a confirmed receipt of attendees' security clearance over JPAS. This technical data is provided ahead of time to better facilitate breakout session discussions. Meeting Access and Clearances: Security clearances must be sent via JPAS. Please insert "Flexible Weapon Industry Day" as the name of the event. AFRL's JPAS SMO Code is AFRL-RW. Logistics: The Industry Day will take place at the Eglin Conference Center on 23 July 2013 from 0800-1200. Breakout sessions will take place in Building 13 from the afternoon of 23 July thru 26 July. Timeline: NLT 2 July 2013: Responses are due containing names of attendees, affidavits from each attendee, clearances in JPAS from each attendee, and requested breakout sessions per company.
