Description

The Tennessee Valley Healthcare System (TVHS)-(Nashville) has a requirement to replace 4 manual valves with four (4) 6" 2-way isolation valves for the two (2) air-cooled York chillers into the Honeywell EBI System; and connect automatic valves control to the Honeywell system and correct current graphics to include control data from chillers and control of valves. This Special Notice is being publicized to announce the medical center's intent to sole source this requirement under the authority of 41 U.S.C 253(c) 2. Proposed contracts negotiated under this authority are approved for Other Than Full and Open Competition in accordance with FAR 6.302-1: Only one responsible source and no other source can satisfy the supplies or services to meet the agency's requirements. Honeywell Enterprise Buildings Integrator (EBI) is a comprehensive automation of the building systems used at the Nashville VA Medical Center. This is a proprietary system and Honeywell is the only source to service or install controls. Inquiries regarding this notice may be sent via email to the Contracting Officer at Roxie.Keese@va.gov.
