- Description The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Acquisition Management Division, on behalf of the NIST Facilities and Property Management /Plant Division, intends to negotiate with Schneider Electric Buildings Critical Systems Inc., 8989 Herrmann Drive, Suite 300 Columbia, MD 21045 on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR Subsection 13.106-1(b), for the purchase of annual maintenance and repair and replacement of HVAC and Laboratories High-Accuracy Temperature Sensors. Objectives: Schneider Electric Buildings Critical Systems Inc is the sole-source provider for Building Automation System- INET/7 (BAS) Services for the National Institute of Standards and Technology. All BAS services and supplies as it relates to the above referenced Building Automation System at the National Institute of Standards and Technology located in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Schneider Electric Buildings Critical Systems, Inc. is the sole authorized service provider for this geographic area, and only known firm capable of providing the supplies and services required. This is due to the fact that the systems are unique, specialized for this site and based upon Schneider Electric proprietary products. Schneider Electric designed, developed, and created the specific procedures and operating schemes for these products required to meet the needs based on the design criteria provided. However, interested parties that is capable to provide the aforementioned product may clearly and unambiguously identify their capability in writing, and submit a Product Specification Certificate and or authorization on or before the response date for this notice to karen.armstrong@nist.gov. All responsible sources may be invited to submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. However, the Government at its discretion and convenience may make an award without competition. 1. Name, address and size of the company 2. NAICS Code 3. DUNS Number 4.
