Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price (FFP) order, under previously awarded Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N68335-13-G-0002, on a non-competitive basis with the Canadian Commercial Corporation50 O'CONNOR ST, SUITE 1100, OTTAWA K1A 0S6 L.P., 7115 for the procurement of Wescam MX 15 turret parts and spares for Wescam turret systems located at Forward Operating Bases (FOBs) throughout Afghanistan for the Naval Air Systems Command 4.5x Special Surveillance Programs (SSP). The Government intends to procure the below items under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1. The procurement is for the following MX 15 Spares: MX 15 HDi Turrets, Motor Gearcases, Assembly- toggle Switches, Rear Door Assemblies, and numerous additional incidental parts for the above mentioned spares. Additionally, several repairs will be provided on existing units damaged OCONUS. The Wescam Turrets, and associated parts and spares are being procured to maintain PGSS FOBs. The technology being fielded as part of the PGSS is specifically tailored to protect US and Coalition forces by providing the ability to provide surveillance and locate and detect hostile forces that are approaching in the distance, giving US Forces ample time for situation awareness and an effective response. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal in writing that may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses should reference solicitation number N68335-13-R-0229. Responses must be received within 15 days of publication of this notice.
