This effort includes telecommunications network support services necessary for the day-to-day operation, administration and maintenance of a Government owned and managed telephone system comprised of a Lucent Technologies 5 Electronic Switching System (5ESS) digital central office circuit switching system, seven Optical Remote Modules (ORMs) and over 28,000 Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN), and analog phone lines and handsets, voice mail service with approximately 15,000 accounts. The scope of this work includes analysis and design, programming, software conversion, production support, system maintenance, and software engineering for 5ESS (5 Electronic Switching System) switching systems and any other peripheral equipment, Callegra voicemail systems, digital and analog handsets, outside cable plant and inside premises wiring. It also encompasses long range planning recommendations in support of the Department of the Navy (DON), Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Information Technology/Information Management Department (IT/IM), Base Telephone Office (BTO) at Patuxent River, MD, Webster Field Annex and other communities of interest. Additionally, the contractor will support and manage approximately 5,000 wireless devices working directly with both individual customers and carriers.
