- Questions (Q) and Answers (A): Q. What is the current contract number? A. G13PX00250 Q. Who is the current contractor? A. Clean Country, Inc. Q. What was the award amount of the current contract? A. $29,340.00 Q. What was the period of performance? A. 02/01/2013 to 07/31/2013 Q. Were there any modifications exercised that changed the old SOW from the beginning of the contract to date? If so, what were the additions/decreases? A. The SOW was rewritten to a Performance-based Work Statement. Several changes were made to transform the Statement of Work into a Performance-based Work Statement. The basic janitorial services and the areas requiring services remain the same. Q. What was the previous solicitation number? A. G13PS00104 Q. Is this an SCA (Service Contract Act) contract? A. Yes FAR Clause 52.222-41 Service Contract Act of 1965 (Nov 2007) is incorporated in the solicitation/award and Clause 52.900S-1178 Wage Determination Incorportation (Oct 1997) is already incorporated in the solicitation/award. The Wage Determination is an attachment to the solicitation as well. Q. Will there be a breakdown of the square footage? How many sq ft of carpet, how many sq ft of tile, over all dimensions of each floor and building? A. No breakdown of floor surfaces will be provided. There is an estimated 49,000 square footage of areas requiring janitorial services. It is highly suggested that each vendor ascertain for themselves the floor cleaning requirements during the site visit/tour. Q. What is the total number of employees who work at this location? A. During the off-season months (Nov-Mar), UMESC has approximately 120 employees. During the field season months (Apr-Oct), UMESC generally has up to 150 employees. Q. What is the total number of visitors, if any, this location will have each month? A. The total number of visitors varies quite a bit. On a typical day, there are no more than 10 visitors; however, approximately 4-8 times per month tours go through the Center. These tours can have upwards of 50 people. Also, UMESC has a large conference facility that is used approximately once a month by various organizations. Q. Please provide any historical data on the quantity of paper products used at this location. A. Paper products have historically been controlled and provided by the Contractor. The USGS not have any information regarding typical use. Q. Please verify if the following Far Clauses apply: A. FAR 52.219-3 Notice of HUBZone Set-Aside or Sole Source Award does not apply and is hereby deleted from this solicitation/award. FAR 52.219-6, Notice of Total Small Business Set-Aside (NOV 2011) (15 U.S.C. 644) does apply and is hereby incorporated in this solicitation/award. FAR 52.219-14 Limitations on Subcontracting does apply and is hereby incorporated in the solicitation/award. FAR 52.219-27 Notice of Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside (Nov 2011) does not apply. FAR clause 52.222-17 Nondisplacement of Qualified Workers does apply and is hereby incorporated by reference. FAR 52.222-41 Service Contract Act of 1965 does apply and is already incorporated in the solicitation.
