- This project is being solicited under the Authority to Advertise. Funds are not presently available for this project, and no award will be made until funds become available. Bid acceptance period should be valid through 30 Sep 13. The Government reserves the right to cancel the solicitation, either before or after 1 Oct 13, with no obligation to the offeror by the government. Due to sequestration as a result of the Budget Control Act of 2011 and the Consolidated and Further Continuing Appropriations Act of 2013, the government reserves the right to cancel bids. FAR clause 52.232-18, Availability of Funds will be incorporated into the solicitation. This synopsis is for the Annual Maintenance Elevated Water Towers. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, supervision and equipment, and perform all operations necessary to accomplish all work, complete in place, as specified per the Water Tank Maintenance Program Statement of Work pp. 01010-2 - 01010-3 of the specifications. Only one (1) water tower shall be out of service at any given time. The work to be performed includes, but is not limited to, touch up of exterior of tank, adjust and reseal CP plates, install balcony drain holes, visual and cathodic condition assessment, install interior lader remove target and float assembly, and repair riser foundations grout. This acquisition will be set aside for Women-Owned Small Business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 237110 with a size standard of $33.5M. This contract will be a "Performance Price Trade-Off" contract; award will be made based on the "Best Value" to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.101. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the low proposed price. The performance period is 107 calendar days. Estimated magnitude for this project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Bid bonds and payment and performance bonds will be required within ten (10) days of contract award. The work is required in support of the 1st Special Operations Civil Engineering Squadron. The contract will be a single award, Firm-Fixed-Price type contract. The issuance date for this solicitation is projected to be on or about 24 May 2013. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database prior to award of a Government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the DOD Central Contractor Registration database will render the interested party ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award.
