Description

The Charlie Norwood VAMC located at 1 Freedom Way, Augusta, Georgia intends to release a Request for Proposal (RFP) numbered VA247-13-RP-0669 for project # 509-10-120 entitled 'Replace Air Handling Units' on or about the week of May 06, 2013. Unless additional notice is given or this notice is modified, the full solicitation will be posted on FEDBIZOPPS ww.fbo.gov. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The applicable NAICS code will be 238220 with an applicable small business size standard of $14.0M. The project magnitude range is between $2,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00 Performance period is 270 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. There will be a pre-bid site investigation for this project and all prospective offerors are encouraged to attend. Pre Bid site investigations are not mandatory, but highly recommended. Details of the pre-bid site visit will be included in the solicitation package. Offerors are advised not to contact the Contracting Officer to schedule a pre-bid visit. This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming RFP solicitation to satisfy the requirements of FAR 5.201 and 5.203. The Contracting Officer will not be able to answer any questions to this notice until a solicitation is issued. Offerors are instructed not to contact the Resident Engineer directly. Questions will only be answered by the Contracting Officer that are received by Request for Information (RFI). The contracting officer will not maintain a bidders mailing list. All interested parties should register via FEDBIZOPPS interested vendors list. Do not contact the Contracting Officer for General Contractor information. It is the responsibility of the offeror to monitor and download amendments from FebBizOpps which may be issued to this solicitation. In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, Required Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in accordance with FAR 2.101,VAAR 802.101, Vet-Biz Registration, prospective firms must be registered in CCR and in the Vet-Biz databases prior to award (Note: Effective October 1, 2010, all solicitations issued in accordance with the Veteran's First Contracting Program requires all contractor's be VERIFIED by the Office of Small Disadvantaged Business Utilization's Center for Veteran's Enterprise (CVE) prior to receiving an award under the program) The scope of work for this project is for the demolition and disposal of existing AHU along with associated piping, ductwork, wiring, etc., new construction including the installation and reconnections for replacement AHU, electrical wiring, drains, piping, ductwork, etc. Work shall be completed in accordance with drawing and specifications.
