Description
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO) seeks information on Commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) radiological/nuclear detection systems that can be deployed in the Small Vessel Standoff Detection (SVSD) mission. The Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO) established the SVSD Program to reduce the need to board small vessels when performing the R/N detection mission and mitigate the threat of R/N devices coming through United States (U.S.) coastal waters on small boats. The system capability will address the portion of the small vessel population that is less than 40 feet in length, less than 15 feet in beam (width), constructed of fiberglass, aluminum, or wood, does not carry cargo, and weighs less than 300 gross tons.
