Description
The Federal Bureau Of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office located in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to negotiate with only one source, Mayo Clinic, 200 First Street, Rochester, MN 55905, under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1; there is only one responsible source and no other suppliers or services will satisfy the agency requirement for the provision of comprehensive medical services at the Federal Medical Center located in Rochester, MN, under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(4). Services to be provided include inpatient/outpatient facility services, inpatient/outpatient physician services, and outpatient institution services. The contract type will be an indefinite delivery/requirements type contract. The contract shall consist of a twelve month base period and four 12 month options for renewal, if exercised. The estimated quantities for the base period and each option are as follows: Inpatient Days - estimated 512 days; Outpatient Visits - estimated 2963 Visits. Any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer by May 13, 2013, 2:00 PM CT. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed and show that competition would be advantageous to the Government. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and does not constitute a solicitation. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source acquisition to Mayo Clinic. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database to be considered for award. See www.sam.gov for further information and instructions. All vendors are hereby notified that if your response is not received by the date and time specified in this notice, it will not be considered.
