Controls Sequence General Specifications 0100 to 16491 REPLACEMENT OF AIR HANDLING UNIT 14 BUILDING 235 Repair of Air Handling Units Site Wide, DWG 235-545 GUIDELINES FOR OFPM/CONTRACTORS AND A/E FIRMS SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS (April 2011) REFERENCE QUESTIONNAIRE PACKAGE HVAC Plan, Drwg M0022 Mechanical Equipment Room, Drwg M0020 Solicitation The objective of this acquisition is to replace Air Conditioning Unit 14 at NIST Bldg 235. ACU-14 provides conditioned air to the E-wing labs in bldg. 235 the NIST Center for Neutron Research (NCNR). This unit was designed incorrectly; the cooling coil is located too close to the supply fan. In the summer time, condensation is pulled from the cooling coil into the supply fan housing. This additional moisture has rusted out the fan housing and lead to a catastrophic fan failure in February 2013. Repairs have been made to the supply fan and motor, but the unit needs to be replaced. The objective of this contract is to obtain a contractor to replace ACU-14 Notice of HUBZone Set-Aside
