Description
Description: This is a Sources Sought Synopsis announcement for market research in support of various projects at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, AZ which include direct programmable building controllers in contract actions requiring interface to the existing Direct Digital Control (DDC) network system located at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, AZ. The information will be utilized for preliminary planning purposes. The information received will be utilized within the Navy to facilitate the decision making processes and will not be disclosed outside of the agency. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. This notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose other than market research. Further, the Navy is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the analysis. All data received in response to this Sources Sought Synopsis that is marked or designated as corporate or proprietary information will be fully protected from release outside the government. Since this is a Sources Sought announcement, no debrief, evaluation letters, and/or results will be issued to the participants. Responses to this Sources Sought Synopsis will be used to make appropriate acquisition decisions. No telephone calls will be accepted requesting a proposal package or solicitation. There is no proposal package or solicitation at this time. In order to protect the procurement integrity of any future procurement that may arise from this announcement, information regarding the technical point of contact will not be given and no appointments for presentations will be made. The requirement is for direct digital controllers that allow storage, modification, and downloading of control programming, database, graphics, and controller configuration files from the existing MCAS Yuma DDC Network Energy Management Controls System (EMCS) central station. The existing MCAS Yuma DDC Network System comprises Alerton BACtalk Building Automation System (BAS) Hardware and Alerton ® Envision for BACtalk Software.. The controllers will be required for projects requiring direct digital controls and connection to the MCAS Yuma DDC Network EMCS. The total estimated value for the use of Alerton brand name equipment through 30 September 2014 is $3,000,000. Interested sources are invited to respond to this Source Sought Synopsis by completing Attachment 1 “ Technical Information. Responses to this Sources Sought Synopsis are due no later than (13 May 2013, 2:00 p.m., Pacific Daylight Time. The responses should be submitted electronically via e-mail to Ken Redmond, Contract Specialist, at Kenneth.redmond@navy.mil. Response received after the deadline or without the required information shall not be considered.
