- ANNOUNCEMENT FOR MANUFACTURING OF HARDWARE COMPONENTS, SUB-COMPONENTS AND ASSEMBLIES INDUSTRY DAY, SCHEDULED FOR MAY 07, 2013 Contracting Office Address: Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division 4072 North Jackson Road, Ste 132 Indian Head, MD 20640 Description All interested parties are invited to participate in a śManufacturing of Hardware Components, Sub-Components and Assemblies ť Industry Day to be held on May 07, 2013 from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm at The Town of Indian Head Pavilion, 100 Water Thomas Road, Indian Head, MD 20640. Government attendees will include representatives from the Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division ™s (NSWC IHD), Engineering Department, the Energetics Manufacturing Departments and the NSWC IHD Procurement Office. The Indian Head Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center (IHD NSWC) requires support in the manufacture of various components for multiple weapons systems. Required support for this contract shall be provided in accordance with individual written Delivery Orders (DOs) issued by the Government within the scope of this Statement of Work (SOW). The Contractor shall fabricate, test, inspect and deliver weapons systems components, sub-components, assemblies, etc., for various weapons systems. Each component, sub-component or assembly shall be described in individual DOs. The contracting approach will involve the issue of an RFP followed by proposal submission by all interested vendors. This will ultimately lead to a contract award. Input received from this Industry Day will facilitate refinement of the competitive acquisition strategy. Industry input is desired to allow for an effective acquisition program with well-defined requirements in the Request for Proposal (RFP). Attendance at the Manufacturing of Hardware of Hardware Components, Sub-Components and Assemblies Industry Day is not a prerequisite for ultimately submitting any future proposals, however, it will provide a valuable opportunity for questions, answers, and industry input. All briefs and discussions will remain at the unclassified level. Industry Day is solely to offer interested parties early involvement in the Governments proposed approach for future procurement of the Manufacturing of Hardware of Hardware Components, Sub-Components and Assemblies requirement. This announcement is for informational purposes only, does not constitute an invitation for bid or Request for Proposal, and is not construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a contract or order. The Government does not intend to pay for the information obtained during the workshop or for the time and expense of the industry participants involved, nor is the Government obligated to any future acquisition or procurement action. Furthermore, the Government will not pay for any effort expended or any material provided in response to this announcement nor will the government return any data provided.
