- Additional Clauses and Provisions RFQ The mission of the Magnetics Group is to develop metrologies that support and aid research and development of the commercial magnetics industry in the US. In particular, this project focuses on thin film memory applications. To effectively do so we need to deposit our own magnetic thin films utilizing vacuum chambers that have base pressures < 1x10-9 Torr and develop cryogenic measurement systems that are under vacuum. The requested He leak detector will allow us to find low level leaks in our vacuum chambers and measurement systems. With trade-in value of a Pfeiffer / Balzers HLT-160 Leak Detector, the Contractor shall furnish a Brand Name or Equal, Adixen ASM 380 automatic high performance "dry" helium leak detector. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: Unit must be mobile, on wheels weight < 120 kg oil-free backing pump capacity >30 m3/hr He pumping speed > 6.5 L/s Capable of both vacuum and sniffing leak detection Minimum detectable leak rate for He (sniffing mode) < 3 x 10-8 Torr l/s Minimum detectable leak rate for He (vacuum mode) < 0.75 x 10-11 Torr l/s Supply 120 V AC Capable of detecting He4, He3, He2 Vacuum flange ISO-KF 25 or larger. Maximum inlet test pressure > 10 Torr
