- Description
- TIB-2013-RFN-0011 This Request for Information (RFI) is for information and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board (FRTIB): herein stated as "Agency". If a formal solicitation is generated at a later date, a solicitation notice will be published. No award will be made as a result of this RFI. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the FRTIB. Any information that the responder considers propriety should be clearly marked as such. All submissions become Agency property and will not be returned, including any propriety information. The Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board is an independent Federal agency that was established to administer the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP), which provides Federal employees the opportunity to save for additional retirement security. The TSP is a $335+ billion tax-deferred defined contribution plan similar to private sector 401(k) plans and is the largest participant-directed defined contribution plan in the world. FRTIB consists of ten offices and has approximately 140 employees whose official duty station is Washington DC. FRTIB relies extensively on external contractors to support its operations such as Information Technology and participant benefit services. The Agency's mission is to act solely in the interests of its participants and beneficiaries and the Agency's funding is an administrative expense of the TSP. Additional information about FRTIB can be obtained from the web site: www.frtib.gov. Please provide responses to the above questions in MS Word format or pdf and email them to Marisol Vargas-Busch, Contracting Officer, Marisol.vargas-busch@tsp.gov, by May 14, 2013, 3:00 pm ET. We encourage companies to keep responses and attachments relatively brief. In the email subject line, please state "TSP-2013-RFN-0011 Financial Statement Audit Response Company X" and enter your company name in place of "Company X". If you have large documents that you would like us to read, please provide a link to the document instead of emailing us the document if possible.
