Description

This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE to determine the availability and capability of potential small business vendors to execute two (2) concurrent projects at the Department of Veterans Affairs VA Medical Center, 1601 Brenner Avenue, Salisbury, NC 28144. The two projects are to prepare site(s) and install: 1) a Rauland-Borg Responder 5 Nurse Call system and 2) a RoamAlert Patient Wandering System. Both systems are to be installed in the Community Living Center (CLC), Building 42, B-Wing of the Medical Center. This is a Brand Name Only requirement for compatibility with existing systems. Brand names are Rauland-Borg Responder 5 and RoamAlert Patient Wandering System. Potential vendors must be a certified installer of this equipment. Statements of Work Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations and furnish labor and materials and perform work for a Nurse Call System (Rauland-Borg Responder 5) and a Patient Wandering System (Roam Alert) for Bldg 42 Community Living Center, B-Wing. This equipment must tie into the existing Rauland-Borg Responder 5 equipment being used in our Hospice program in Bldg 43 and will be integrated to work in cooperation with a new patient wandering (Roam Alert) system that will also be provided and installed (see attached Equipment Lists- Attachment 1). Nurse Call System: Furnish and install a Rauland-Borg Responder 5 Emergency Call System for 45 resident rooms (45 beds) two nurse stations, six resident lounges and two dining rooms (see drawings- Attachment 2). Include dome lights outside each treatment room door, and bathrooms. 1 duty station, 1 domeless controller, 1 power supply, 1 battery backup, 1 annunciate panel, 1 annunciate panel wall mount, 13 cord savers, 13 strain reliefs, 17 dome lights, 5 pull cords, 13 patient stations, cables, conduit, wiremold, boxes, connectors and labor to install all cable and devices. This equipment will tie into the existing Rauland-Borg Responder 5 headend cabinet. Also to be included is the following software: PC Console, Staff Assignments, Wireless Phone Integration Software, Reports. Patient Wandering System: Furnish and install the Roam Alert Patient Wandering System to be used in B-wing, 1st floor and 2nd floor with equipment to provide warning sounds and then lock the elevators and doors when identified, vulnerable patients approach. This system wander alert system will work cooperatively with the nurse call system through individually carried pagers which will provide feedback to the nurses via their pagers when vulnerable patients approach warning areas, including the specific areas that are being approached. Work includes equipment and software purchase, installation, training, wiring and programming - complete turnkey installation. See attached documents: 1) Equipment List and 2) Building Drawings The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 517911, Size Standard: 1500 Employees. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government. A determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice is for informational and planning purposes only, and does not constitute a solicitation or a commitment by the Government to later publish a solicitation.
