Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/ and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/ While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by NSWC Crane. THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER - N00164-08-D-WT02- ENGINE EXHAUST NOZZLE. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane intends to issue a modification to increase the period of performance and ceiling on an existing Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract currently held by Unison Engine Components-Manchester CT. INC., 967 Parker Street, Manchester, CT 08042-2208. The extension will cover a three year period. Specifically, the Government intends to increase CLIN 0001 by 112 units over the three year period. Delivery will be FOB Origin. FAR Part 12 does not apply. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Unison Engine Components-Manchester CT. INC. The Government does not own or possess the necessary level III hardware documentation or specialized tooling necessary for full and open competition. Due to the sole source nature of the procurement, no solicitation will be posted to FEdBizzOpps. However, interested parties may request a copy of the request for proposal and submit a statement outlining their capabilities for the Government to consider. The proposed IDIQ extension and ceiling increase is for engine exhaust nozzles for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Unison Engine Components-Manchester CT. INC. under authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The POC is Taylor Guthrie, Code CXNN, at telephone 812-854-3743, or email: Taylor.guthrie@navy.mil
