- Description
- SYNOPSIS: The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office - SCRO, plans to issue solicitation IFBP05171300001 for the construction of, to include but not limited to, upgrade programmable logic controller. The successful contractor will provide all labor, materials and equipment for removing and replacing the head end programmable logic controller and associated equipment in the main security electronics room. Upgrade installation and testing for the PLC base door control and monitoring systems originally installed and commissioned in August, 1999. Omron CS-1 series PLC or equall shall be installed and replace the five main graphic panels in the control room with four 24" ELO-LCD or equivalent touch screens. The performance period is 120 calendar days after receipt of a notice to proceed. The project consists of furnishing all equipment, materials and labor for the complete construction of the work located at the Federal Detention Center, Houston, Texas. The magnitude of this project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The solicitation will available on or about May 16, 2013 with an anticipated bid opening date of approximately June 18, 2013. The solicitation will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website http//www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this solicitation, including any amendments will also be distributed solely through this site. Faith Based and Community Based organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. This is a 100% small business set-aside.
