Description

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to solicit and award on a sole-source basis a purchase order to Forensic Computers Inc. (FCI) 110 Forensic Lane, Glen Lyn, VA 24093 for a 1-year extended warranty for 152 Forensic Analysis Workstations at the located at Internal Revenue Service (IRS). This acquisition is authorized by FAR 11.105 and 13.106-1(b)(1). The Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of this action deems only one source is reasonably available. Brand Name Justification: FCI has stated that it is the sole manufacturer as well as the sole source of the warranties for the Forensic Analysis Workstation I (FAW-I). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This notice constitutes the only solicitation. A quote is being requested but a wirtten RFQ will not be issued. The resulting purchase order shall be awarded based on a technically acceptable fair and reasonably priced quote. The closing date for this Notics is 2:00 pm Eastern Time on Tuesday, May 7, 2013.
