- USCG SECTOR NEW YORK SOLICITATION # HSCGG1-13-S-PSN631697 BLDG 212/215 WATER INTRUSION BLDG REPAIRS SOURCES SOUGHT: THIS IS ONLY A MARKET SURVEY FOR WRITTEN INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUCEMENT. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. In order to protect the procurement integrity of any future procurement that may arise from this announcement, information regarding the technical point of contact will not be given and no appointments for presentations will be made. The U.S. Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for HUBZone Small Business concerns, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business concerns (SDVOSB), 8(a) certified Small Business concerns, Woman-Owned Small Business concerns or Small Business concerns, or solicit Unrestricted. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220, with a small business size standard $33.5M Million. The estimated value of the procurement is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Bid, payment and performance bonds will be required. The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking Interested Vendors with successful past performance, current relevant experience, personnel/resources, equipment, capability and bonding capacity to perform BUILDING repairs at USCG Sector New York, Staten Island, NY (Richmond County). The work includes: BLDG 212 - (a) removal/replacement of brick veneer to correct deficiencies with hangers, expansion joints, angles, flashing and brick replacement; (b) remove/replace existing light commercial grade double-hung aluminum windows with heavy-duty impact-resistant double-hung aluminum windows; (c) remove and replace all exterior hollow metal doors, and interior non-compliant door HW; (d) removal and installation of low-sloped roofs at entrance and re-entrant corners (EPDM roofing system, metal cap flashing, tapered rigid insulation, protection board, new thru-wall flashing at cavity walls); (e) remove/replace all brick veneer expansion joint sealant; (f) gypsum board repairs as required for plumbing and electrical repairs; BLDG 215 - (a) same as above; (b) same as above; (c) same as above; (d) removal and installation of low-sloped roofs at entrance and re-entrant corners and bridge connectors (as above); (e) same as above; (f) remove/replace exterior roof terrace (remove concrete slab, install fleece-reinforced liquid applied waterproofing, protection board, new concrete slab); (g) various plumbing repairs (replace dual temp water supply and return piping mains, replace dual temp supply and return valves found to be leaking, replace P-trap in existing electric water cooler, remove/replace plumbing lines-HW supply/return, CW supply/return, sanitary waste-associated with a laundry sink. The performance period is estimated to be 300 days. Your response should include the following: (a) a positive statement of your intent to submit a bid for this solicitation as prime contractor; (b) a statement identifying your certified small business designation (if any); (c) evidence of bonding capacity to the maximum magnitude of the project, to include both single and aggregate totals; and, (d) evidence of prior successful experience of similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, points of contact and telephone numbers and, (e) evidence of the following skill set required for this work: (1) experience in single ply roofing; authorized applicant for major manufacturer; (2) Masonry-experience repointing and replacing brick; (3) commercial grade heavy-duty window installation. Your response is required no later than 7 MAY 2013. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on an applicable set-aside.
