- The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground, Natick Contracting Division, intends to award a firm fixed price contract under FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), only one responsible source, to Carrier Corporation, of Pelham, AL, for the repair of two (2) Carrier absorption chillers (Model Number TSA-16LJ-51E-LE) These products are serviced and repaired per the manufacturer's(Carrier) specifications to bring the equipment up to full operating conditions. Carrier Corporation is the sole company licensed to repair this chiller model, and no unlicensed servicer will meet the Government's needs on this project. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238220. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is J041. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement listed. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement to the U.S. Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground, Natick Contracting Division, via e-mail to: Devin.S.FitzMaurice.civ@mail.mil no later than 3:00 p.m. on 15 May 2013.
