- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. THERE WILL NOT BE A SOLICITATION, SPECIFICATIONS, OR DRAWINGS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. This notice for informational and for market research purposes only to determine the availability of potential qualified contractors. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, requests letters of interest from SMALL BUSINESS PRIME CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTORS interested in performing work on a potential contract for rehabilitation of the Sayre, PA levee slope and replacement of access steps in accordance with the project description listed below. Responses to this sources sought announcement will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. NO SOLICITATION IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. Project Descriptions: The survey is to determine if there are any Small Businesses (SB), Qualified 8(a)s, Historically Underutilized Business Zones Businesses (HUBZone), Small Disadvantaged Business, (SDB), Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) or Woman Owned Small Businesses (WOSB) that may have the capability to perform the work and are interested in the job. This is a Sources Sought Notice and is for informational purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS OR BIDS. Project Description: The recommended rehabilitation of the Sayre FPP consists of repair of the levee slope and replacement of the levee access steps, repair of the levee crest at approximately levee station 24+00, repair of the levee slope at approximately levee station 8+00, and repair of the levee slope at approximately levee station 5+50. Magnitude of construction is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00 The work shall be completed within 120 calendar days of award and by December 2013. This is a construction project. Interested Small Business, SB, 8(a), SDVOSB, VOSB, WOSB, and HUBZone should submit a concise narrative and specific project examples of similar size and scope that demonstrate their experience in stream restoration, stabilization, and enhancement. Experience should include: • Working in an urban, high user, park setting • Levee stabilization work • Working with concrete • Earthwork • Permit compliance • Utility company coordination • Availability of proper equipment Qualified interested small businesses must submit the following information: 1. Company name, address, phone number, point of contact. 2. Company's CAGE Code and DUNS Number to verify your business status as a qualified Small Business Size as SB, Certified 8(a), HUBZone, SDB, SDVOSB, VOSB, WOSB. Contractors must be registered in Systems for Award Management (SAM) and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) at the time of contract award. Please see www.sam.gov and www.bpn.gov for additional registration information. 3. Indicate the primary nature of your business. 4. Provide three (3) examples of projects similar to the requirements described above within the past five (5) years. Include point of contact information for examples provided as past performance on indicated projects may be verified. Contractors with unsatisfactory past performance may not be considered capable of successfully performing this type of work. 5. The total submittal shall be no longer than 5 pages in one.pdf file or one word document. 6. Email responses are required.
