Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at https://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet. NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) has a requirement for Research and Development to design and fabricate two Very Low Frequency (VLF) Vector-Phase Passive Acoustic Sensors for implementation on a Modular Undersea Heavyweight Vehicle (MUHV). The contractor will be required to perform in accordance with a statement of work and government furnished information. The resulting order will be on a firm fixed price basis. This is a sole source acquisition to Intelligent Sensing Technologies, 610 River Terrace, Hoboken, NJ 07030-5915. Intelligent Sensing Technologies is the only known source that has developed and maintains the intellectual property rights for Vector-Phase Passive Acoustic Sensing for detection, tracking and classification using the acoustic particle velocity horns for use on a high speed vehicle such as the MUHV. NAICS Code is 541330, size standard $35.5M. All other timely offers will be considered. Further details will be released upon issuance of RFQ # N66604-13-Q-1699. Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) rating of DO-S10 applies.
