- Description
- The United States Coast Guard Surface Force Logistics Command intends to issue a Commercial Request for PROPOSAL (RFP) for Machinery Plant Control and Monitoring Systems onboard for the USCGC MACKINAW. The acquisition will be solicited as a TOTAL SMALL Set-Aside. The Coast Guard intends to conduct the procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The simplified acquisition will be issued as a Best Value, Request for PROPOSAL (RFP), on or about May 15, 2013. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the FEDBIZOPPS web page at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the FEDBIZOPS web page for RFP release and all subsequent amendments. Please sign up for the Auto Notification service to receive e-mail from FEDBIZOPPS when an action is taken under this solicitation. A CD-ROM containing all applicable drawings will be sent via U.S. mail, if requested. Send all requests via e-mail sandra.a.martinez@uscg.mil. The small business size standard is less than 1,000 employees. The NAICS Code is 336611. The acquisition is for Machinery Plant Control and Monitoring System (MPCMS) onboard USCGC MACKINAW (WLBB 40). The USCGC MACKINAW (WLBB 30) homeport is the CHEBOYGAN, MI and is GEOGRAPHICAL RESTRICTED TO THE HOMEPIER. The contractor shall provide all personnel, labor, materials and equipment (except for Government Furnished property) required to maintain and support all of the Machinery Plant Control and Monitoring System onboard the USCGC MACKINAW. This acquisition shall be a requirements contract for One Base year and Four Option Years; if exercised. Anticipated start date on or about 25 September 2013 through 24 September 2014 (Base Year). Support services shall include but shall not be limited to the following: Machinery Plant Control & Monitoring Groom, Configuration Management, Technical Support and Management/Ecp/Engineering Support Services.
