- This notice is for planning purposes only. A project award will not be awarded from this announcement. The Government intends to release an Interim Annual Plan for execution of a project award(s) in support of Ground Robotics related research areas. The purpose of this announcement is to provide members of the Robotics Technology Consortium, and industry in general, advanced notification of Government intent. In December 2007, the Government announced its intent to enter into an Other Transaction Agreement with one (1) consortium in support of Ground Robotics related Research and Development projects. As a result of the Ground Robotics Industry Day in January 2008, one (1) consortium formed, the Robotics Technology Consortium. It is the intent of the Government to make multiple project awards to the members of the Robotics Technology Consortium as a result of member project proposals submitted via the Request for Project Proposals. The anticipated three (3) research areas for which white papers and project proposals will be sought are the following: (1) Autonomy; (2) Platform; (3) Capabilities & Usage. The Interim Annual Plan (W15QKN-08-9-0001-iAP13_1) will be issued to the Robotics Technology Consortium's Administrative Agent, the National Center for Manufacturing Sciences, who will then issue the request to the members of the consortium.
