- Description
- The Air Force Flight Test Center, Edwards AFB CA intends to issue a solicitation for Vertical Transportation Equipment (Elevator) Maintenance, Repair, and Inspection Services. The Contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, parts and labor necessary to maintain, repair, and inspect the real property vertical transportation equipment (VTE) at Edwards AFB and AFRL (Air Force Research Laboratory) in a manner that will ensure continuous and safe operation. The PRIME contractor will be required to submit proof of the following licenses/certifications: 1. State of California Certified Qualified Conveyance (Elevator) Company (CQCC) 2. C11 - Elevator Contractor License 3. State of California Certified Competent Conveyance Mechanic (CCCM) The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number for this effort is 238290 with a Small Business Administration size standard of $14 Million. Foreign contractors will not be permitted at the prime contractor level per FAR part 25.401(a)(1). It is anticipated that a firm fixed-price contract will be awarded. The contract is anticipated to be a five year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity and will be 100% small business set-aside. Contract award is estimated to take place in May 2013, with performance beginning 01 June 2013. The solicitation will be electronically posted on FedBizOpps (http://www.fedbizopps.gov). A site visit/pre-proposal conference will be scheduled and posted on FedBizOpps along with the solicitation.
