- Request For Quote w/SOW & Attachments This is a commercial item, combined synopsis/solicitation for a vessel charter to conduct stereo drop camera operations in the eastern and central Aleutian Islands. The Government may award a firm-fixed-price order in accordance with FAR Parts 12 & 13 utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The NAICS code for this requirement is 483114 with a 500 employee size standard. The Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Alaska Fisheries Science Center (AFSC), Resource Assessment & Conservation Engineering (RACE) Division has a requirement for a vessel charter to conduct stereo drop camera operations in the eastern and central Aleutian Islands. The charter will determine the distribution and abundance of coral and sponge habitats using an underwater camera survey. The charter will be for a total of twelve (12) days with up to three (3) optional charter days. The period of performance is from June 1, 2013 through August 31, 2013. All interested concerns must submit a quotation and documentation by May 17, 2013 at 10:00AM Pacific time. All responses must be in writing. A Commercial Item Request for Quote (RFQ) with the technical specifications, clauses and attachments is incorporated as an attachment as part of this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. A firm-fixed-price order may be issued on or before June 1, 2013. This procurement also requires contractors to complete the electronic representations and certifications at the SAM website. All vendors doing business with the Government are required to be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM). NO award can be made unless the vendor is registered in SAM. In order to register with the SAM and to be eligible to receive an award from this acquisition office, all offerors must also have a Dun & Bradstreet Number.
