- The Food and Drug Administration has a requirement to provide all labor materials, equipment, fuel and transportation necessary to provide and install a new Fire Tube Boiler at the National Center for Toxicological Research (NCTR) located in Jefferson, Arkansas. The project includes connecting to existing Boiler Master Control System and altering the existing mechanical, electrical, architectural and structural systems in Building #7 to facilitate the installation and operation of the new Fire Tube Boiler. This procurement is set aside for certified HUBZone Small Business concerns. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220: Commercial and Institutional Building Construction and the Small Business Size Standard is $33.5 Million. The period of performance is 365 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Award of contract is subject to availability of funds. The Magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The resulting contract will be firm-fixed price. The anticipated release date of the RFP is on or about May 23, 2013. The solicitation, technical specifications and drawings will be posted to Federal Business Opportunity website when it is released. Pre-Proposal/Site Visit for interested vendors will be held on site in Jefferson Arkansas approximately 2 weeks after release of the RFP. All responsible HUBZone sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. Vendors are encouraged to sign up on the Interested Vendors List to receive automated notification from FBO when changes are made to the posting; however, contractors are responsible to monitor this website for further information concerning this procurement. No electronic proposals will be accepted.
