- The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a sole source award in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1). A sole-source, fixed-price procurement with ARROWHEAD SCIENTIFIC, INC. 11030 STRANG LINE RD, ENEXA, KS, 66215-2063 to provide Annual Maintenance e Services for (17) Coherent Tracer Laser Systems for the FBI's Latent Print Operations Unit. The Coherent Tracer Laser Systems Maintenance Services are exclusively sold by ARROWHEAD SCIENTIFIC, INC.; they are the only vendor that can provide the Maintenance Services. Failure to purchase the identified services would result in the following: 1) voiding the existing maintenance contract between the FBI and Coherent Inc and 2) jeopardizing the future use of FBI owned Coherent Tracer Laser Systems. If no affirmative written response is received, the purchase will be awarded without further notice. This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Website (www.fedbizopps.gov). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interests in this requirement to this office by 9:00 AM (Eastern) March 09, 2012, via e-mail to the attention of: Montarious Usher, at Montarious.Usher@ic.fbi.gov. The North American Industrial Classification System Number (NAICS) is 811219 - Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance the awardees shall be registered in the Central Contractor's Database (CCR) and also the Online Representations and Certification (ORCA) at http://orca.bpn.gov.
