Description
Sandia National Labs seeks participation in The Sixth Meeting on Fault-tolerant Spaceborne Computing Employing New Technologies to take place May 28 to 30, 2013 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The meeting's theme will be next-generation spaceborne computing employing hardened and trusted versions of new technologies being introduced by the commercial sector, such as multi-core, accelerators, FPGA, nano memories, and interconnect. To make effective use of these new hardware technologies, software tools will be needed that can provide power-efficient, highly dependable applications without excessive software development cost. The meeting will have special coverage on the following topics: Opera/Maestro User Group (Tuesday afternoon) Software (Tuesday evening) Cyber resilience (Wednesday morning) Fault management (Wednesday evening) Beyond CMOS for Space (Tuesday afternoon and evening). It is well known that the semiconductor industry is investigating alternatives to CMOS with higher performance for both logic and memory/storage. This special session will discuss what is known about the radiation properties of these technologies. Most of the presentations will be by invited speakers, but there is space reserved for new or "out of the box" ideas relevant to space computing. If you have such an idea, please contact the organizer or visit the website for instructions on how to submit an abstract for review. Due to space limitations, attendees must obtain an invitation before attending. Qualified attendees may obtain an invitation and more information from Erik DeBenedictis, (505) 284-4017, erikdebenedictis@sandia.gov, or the conference web site http://www.spacecomputing.org
