Description
In response to this Sources Sought, interested contractors shall submit the following information to Kaylan Grove at kaylan.grove@va.gov no later than May 13, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. EST. At this time, no solicitation exists. Therefore, PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION. Contractors having the skills and capabilities necessary to perform the below stated requirements should submit a response of no more than 5 pages in length, single spaced, 12 point font minimum, that addresses the below listed information. Please provide the following information: A.Company Name and Address B.Company DUNS # C.Company point of contact, telephone, and email address. D.Socio-Economic Status - Indicate whether your company, subcontractors, teaming partners, joint ventures have a Federal Socio-Economic status, e.g., Small Business, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, Woman-Owned Small Business, Disadvantaged Small Business, and Hub Zone. If Service-Disabled or Veteran Owned Small Business, is your company and or partners registered in VA's VetBiz repository? E.If the company holds a Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) Contract, list the GSA Contract Number and relevant SINS. F.Capabilities / Qualifications: Provide a written description of the capabilities/qualifications/skills your company possesses to perform services described in this Sources Sought. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Respondents are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this Sources Sought Notice. SCOPE OF WORK: The contractor shall provide an educational program for VA staff working in Informatics that prepares them with the knowledge required to sit for the Certified Professional in Healthcare & Information Management Systems (CPHIMS) Exam. The course must contain an overview of the health IT body of knowledge specified in the CPHIMS Candidate Handbook that spans three broad categories involving a total of nine topic areas: General Environmental Knowledge (Healthcare and Technology Environments); Systems Knowledge (Analysis, Design, Selection, Implementation, Support and Evaluation, Privacy and Security); and Administrative Knowledge (Leadership and Management). The course shall be delivered in an online format either synchronous (faculty led) or asynchronous (self- paced) to accommodate various staff schedules, learning preferences, and course availability. A practice examination shall be provided after completion of the course. The contractor will also be required to track and report course completion and practice exam results. (Contractors may also provide guidance to deliver either or both types of instruction). The VA envisions a base year plus three options years for this course. KEY PERSONNEL: Certain skilled experienced professional and/or technical personnel are essential for accomplishing the work to be performed. These individuals are defined as "Key Personnel" and are those persons whose resumes are submitted and marked by the contractor as "Key Personnel". The contractor will provide a list of the minimum qualifications of the instructor(s) that will teach each course. If an asynchronous delivery method is choses, the contractor may include the minimum qualifications of the person(s) designing the course content.
