- The following is a Sources Sought notice only. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SOURCES SOUGHT. This notice is a market research tool used for planning purposes only to determine the availability of capable contractors able to install Direct Digital Controls (DDC) and Ventilation Controls; and repair reciprocating CASS Chillers at Whiteman AFB, Missouri for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow up information requests. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District is seeking information from contractors who are capable of providing the installation, labor, equipment, materials, and transportation required to perform the following two projects: 1.Repair Reciprocating CASS Chillers: Construction Contractor to replace the reciprocating CASS chillers per the 100% designed plans and specifications. This includes, but not limited to, replacement with 90 ton factory assembled, packaged air cooled liquid chillers with screw compressors. The existing chilled water piping system and circulating pumps will also be replaced. Controls shall be compatible with the existing Metasys system. The DDC shall communicate through the Base Intranet. The new chilled water system shall include chillers, piping, valves, pumps, pipe insulation, controls, electrical wiring, refrigerant charge, water treatment and all accessories. 2.Install DDC & Ventilation Controls: Construction Contractor to remove obsolete pneumatic or DDC controls and actuators and install state-of-the-art DDC and Ventilation controls, as required and per the 100% designed plans and specifications. This includes the installation of CO2 ventilation controls with an HVAC fresh air intake and return air system. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 236220 In accordance with FAR 36.204 and DFARS 236.204, the estimated magnitude of this construction project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The following information is requested in this Sources Sought (SS): 1.Firm's name, addresses, point of contact, phone number, and e-mail address. 2.Firm's DUNS number 3.Firm's interest in providing a proposal on the pending solicitation, once issued. 4.Firm's capability to perform a contract of this magnitude and complexity. 5.List the competitive advantages that your firm can offer in terms of cost. 6.Does your company have previous work experience at Whiteman Air Force Base? 7.Experience: Evidence of capabilities to perform work comparable to that required. Provide three recent projects (not more than five years old) similar in scope and size as described in this notice. Include the project name and description of the key features of the project (i.e., square footage, multi-story, etc.), completion date, total contract value your company's level of involvement in the project. Please provide at least one point of contact (with email address and phone number) for project validation. 8.Please state your firm's small business category and business size as related to NAICS code 236220; i.e. (Section 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zones (Hub-Zone), Women Owned, Service Disabled Veteran Owned (SDVOSB) and Historical Black Colleges and Universities/Minority Institutions (HBCU/MI)). 9.Firm's Joint Venture information, if applicable. 10.Firm's Bonding Capability (construction bonding level per contract and aggregate bonding level, both expressed in dollars). 11.Briefly discuss the cost variations of completing these projects as a whole or bidding individually. Would this affect your participation? Drive your cost up or down? Are there schedule advantages? 12.Please identify any potential cost drivers or concerns with performing these services at Whiteman AFB, Missouri or for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
