- Description
- THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases contemplates award of a firm-fixed-price sole source purchase order to Stratedigm, INC., 19 Great Oaks Blvd, Ste 20, San Jose, CA 95119 for the following item: Flow Cytometer part number S1400BRVY-6 CDC requires a desktop flow cytometer that can be easily maintained and calibrated. Maintenance must be able to be performed outside of the laboratory. The flow cytometer must accommodate numerous research projects requiring four lasers and upgradeable to 14 colors. It needs to be able to read from plates of a variety of sizes including 96 well, 24 well, 384 well, u bottom, v bottom, and deep well formats, including standard FACs tubes. The plate loader must be able to cell count from any gated population and aspirate volumes from 5uL to 0.5mL. The plate loader must operate with substantial efficiency and speed for high throughput assays, and loaders with multiple probes that can simultaneously wash 6 wells at a time are required. It must not use proprietary wash solutions and have the fluid capacity to run unsupervised for more than 10 96 well plates. It also needs to be upgradable for robotics or a plate handling system so that more than one plate can be read without supervision. The North American Industrial Classification Standards (NAICS) Code is 334516 and Standard Business Size of 500 employees. This acquisition will use simplified procedures under the test program for certain commercial items in accordance with FAR Part 13.500. This requirement is not set aside for small businesses. CDC is not requesting competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Interested parties who believe they possess the capabilities to satisfy this requirement should indicate their interest in writing and submit a capability statement demonstrating their ability to meet this requirement no later than 4:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, on May 21, 2013. Determination not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Respondents will assume all financial costs for preparing a response to this notice. The U.S. Government assumes no financial obligation for the preparation and distribution of prepared responses.
