Description

This is a synopsis/pre-solicitation notice for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes only a pre-solicitation; proposals are not being requested and a written solicitation is planned to be issued at a later date. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network 23 Contracting Office, Sioux Falls, SD intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP), numbered VA263-13-R-0840 for Furniture Moving, Installation and Storage Services for the VA Nebraska Western-Iowa Health Care System (NWIHCS), 4101 Woolworth Avenue, Omaha Nebraska 68105, which includes the VA facilities of Omaha, Grand Island and Lincoln Nebraska. The intent is to award one (1) IDIQ contract with firm-fixed priced task orders resulting from this solicitation. Period of performance for the base period is anticipated to be June 1, 2013, through May 31, 2014 with four (4) option years. This procurement is a 100% set-aside for SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES (SDVOSB). Prospective contractors must be registered and certified in the Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE) VetBiz Registry database prior to submitting a bid: http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov. Prospective contractors must be registered and current in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to contract award: https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/. SAM must reflect a small business size certification for the NAICS code noted herein. Bids will only be accepted from responsible and responsive contractors. The NAICS code for the project is 484210-size standard is $25.5 million. OBTAINING SOLICITATION MATERIALS: Solicitation materials consisting of the Request for Proposal (RFP) may be accessed ONLY via FedBizOpps at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No telephone requests will be accepted. The solicitation and supporting documents will be released for issue on or about May 20, 2013. SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Amendments to the solicitation will be uploaded to FedBizOpps. Offerors are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation prior to the time for receipt of offers.
