Description

This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Error! Hyperlink reference not valid., as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation is attached. The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) RFQ solicitation number is: VA101-13-Q-0137 and is solicited for Full and Open competition, as a Small Business Set-Aside. This solicitation document incorporates all mandatory commercial item provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-66; effective 28 Feb 2013. The North American Classification Code (NAICS) is 811212, Computer and Office Machine Repair and Maintenance. The size standard is $25.5 million. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Acquisition Operations (OAO), Acquisition Business Service (ABS) has a requirement for copier maintenance on four (4) Canon copiers location at the VA Central Office (VACO) in Washington, DC. The Contractor must be certified by Canon to conduct maintenance on Canon copier models IRC5185 and Model IRC4080 in order to protect any manufacturer warranties. Onsite response must be within 24 hours and repairs shall be complete within 48 hours. See the attached RFQ VA101-13-Q-0137 Section B.3 Price Schedule for the contract line items (CLINs). The VA intends to award one Firm Fixed Price purchase order to the offeror that represents the best value to the Government. Best value is defined as the expected outcome of the acquisition that, in the Government's estimation, provides the greatest overall benefit in response to the requirement. RFQ and Brand Name Justification are posted as attachments to this announcement. This acquisition will be set-aside for Small Business with extra evaluation credit given to qualified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs) and Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSBs). Solicitation Provisions / Clauses: This solicitation document incorporates all mandatory commercial item provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC2005-65, effective January 29, 2013. The subject line of the email must contain the solicitation number, be signed and dated. The quoter shall submit a pricing breakdown, in accordance with the respective CLIN (i.e. quantity, number of days, unit price, fees, etc.) in a format that is clear; AND also must submit a summary of total pricing for the total performance period. Questions: Questions shall be submitted by Wednesday, May 8, 2013 no later than (NLT) 12:00 p.m. /EST. Quotation Submission Deadline: Quotations must be received by Monday, May 13, 2013 NLT 4:30 p.m./EST. Any responses received after the closing times and dates listed above will only be considered at the discretion of the Contracting Officer. NOTE: Communication with other officials may compromise the integrity and competitiveness of this acquisition, which could result in the cancellation of the solicitation and/or exclusion of your quotation.
