- Large Component X-Ray and Gantry Manipulation Control System questions. Q1) 2.2 Are the stated room dimensions clear inside dimensions? Is the actual envelope less due to protrusions such as sprinkler heads, electrical boxes, etc? A1) No Obstruction within the operating envelope. There are fluorescent light and fire suppression sprinklers that extend from the roof top but do not extend more than 6" below ceiling. Q2) 2.2.1 Is there an existing cable pass through from the control room into the shielded enclosure? Q2) Yes, Approx 4" Q3) 2.3 How close to the floor must the beam centerline be when the Y axis is at the lowest point of travel? A3) 1' Q4) 2.4 Paragraph calls for X/Y/Z movement, but there is no Z dimension specified. Is X/Y movement alone sufficient? If Z movement is required, what is the travel specification? A4) SOURCE END( North) "Z" axis movement must be at least 30' Q5) 2.5.2 What resolution is required for the axis encoding? A5).25" Q6) 2.5.2 Clear definitions of Tilt and Pan functions are required before any estimates can be provided. A6) Tilt refers to rotation of the X-ray source about the "X" axis and pan refer to rotation about the "Y" axis. Again this would be AT THE SOURCE( NORTH) END OF THE SYSTEM. Q7) 2.6 The 55mA requirement is for what KV? A7) Must be able to supply 55 Ma from 35bKVP -60KVP Q8)2.6.2 Please clarify if, you are also requiring a micro focus? 55mA and Micro Focus are incompatible. A8) Not require, desire, part of option. Image Processing and Archival Requirements questions. Q9) 01.1 Is the option requesting a micro focus system to meet imaging requirements? A9) The option is for improved imaging capabilities. Not required for current requirements Q10) 01.1.5 Please advise the Shearography system requiring digital recording capability A10) Disregard. No extension of the close date is necessary or required.
