Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport, (NUWCDIVNPT) has a requirement for Import & Export Customs Brokerage Services: NUWCDIVNPT is a department of Defense (DoD) activity mainstreaming underwater technology with the U.S. Military and other allied forces, as well as, commercial activities. Customs brokerage services for the import and export of components is required to meet emergent schedules. The contractor for this contract should be a full service customs organization. The customs house selected must be fully capable of handling the import and export of components, procuring all labor, equipment and related supplies and services, to facilitate shipments for NUWCDIVNPT. Contractors should anticipate the occasional movement of classified material as part of the requested services. A firm fixed price, not to exceed type contract is anticipated. All work must be performed in a timely manner and meet all statutory requirements. Request For Quotation N66604-13-Q-1788 is anticipated to be released on or about 05/09/2013 with further details. The NAICS code is 488999, Size Standard $7.0M. The period of performance is from date of award through 09/30/2013. Evaluation will be made on Best Value in accordance with FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation Commercial Items. The evaluation criteria will be technical capability and past performance. FAR Clause 52.212-5 and DFAR 252.212-7001 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items applies. All responsible sources may submit a proposal.
