Description
This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential qualifications of Small Businesses, including 8(a), HubZone and Service Disabled Veteran-Owned firms relative to the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 334310 (Audio and Video Equipment Manufacturing) and whether or not these items requested are offered on GSA or SEWP. The Department of Veteran's Affairs is seeking sources to supply and install VTC equipment and to install and incorporate separately purchased CISCO/Tandberg equipment. This will be for 12 conference rooms, approximately ranging from 200-750 sqft, throughout the new Milo C. Huempfner, located in Green Bay, WI. New VTC equipment will consist of ceiling-mounted, high-quality voice range speakers, ceiling-mounted microphones, audio mixers, speech and program speaker systems, LED Monitors ranging from 40-72 inches, composite video input to provide support for portable legacy media playback devices, equipment racks, cooling solution for equipment, wireless control systems for all A/V functions as well as lighting and projection screen, equipment racks, etc. The VA has standardized on CISCO/Tandberg equipment for all of its video conferencing needs. The contractor would not be required to provide the VA with CISCO/Tandberg solution. However, if the contractor chooses to provide a solution other than CISCO/Tandberg then the contractor is also responsible for making sure all equipment is compatible and works to meet the requirements. After installation and incorporation of all equipment, the contractor would be responsible for providing formal training on the use and operations of the equipment. Training shall include on-site orientation, guidance on completing any adjustments, basic trouble shooting, and problem resolution. For equipment that is not the VA standard (CISCO/Tandberg), the contractor may be required to train, no less than 72 end users. Interested sources are requested to submit an email delineating qualification, capabilities, and experience for providing this product. Please include your business size with your submittal. This is not a Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submittals will not be returned to the sender. The applicable North American Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 334310 and the small business size standard is 750 Employees. Responses due are to be submitted by e-mail to Alea.Barnes@va.gov. The information requested must be received no later than 3:00 pm Central Standard Time on May 10, 2013.
