- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to award a sole source fixed-price contract to the National Academy of Sciences. The FFC is sponsored and funded by more than 20 federal agencies with responsibilities for and mutual issues related to all aspects of facilities design, construction, operations, renewal, and management. The Federal Facilities Council (FFC) was established at the National Academies in 1953 as the Federal Construction Council. The mission of the FFC is to identify and advance technologies, processes, and management practices that improve the performance of federal facilities over their life-cycles, from programming to disposal. The period of performance is from date of award for one year. This is a special notice prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2); quote mark when the supplies or services required by the agency are available from only one responsible source quote mark However, any firm that believes it can meet this requirement may give written notification to the Contracting officer within five (5) days of publication of this announcement. Supporting evidence must be in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will proceed with awarding a fixed price contract to National Academy of Sciences. Point of contact for this requirement is Randy Force at 703-428-7406 or randy.h.force@usace.army.mil. Address: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, HECSA, 7701 Telegraph Road, Alexandria, VA 22315.
