- This sources sought has been modified to request that contractors include their company CAGE Code in its capability statement. Description: This is a sources sought to determine the availability of qualified contractors having the skills and capabilities necessary to provide commercial power/commercial converters for the PATRIOT Missile System at Camp As Saliyah (CAS), Qatar. All interested contractors are invited to provide information to contribute to this market survey/sources sought. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. This is a sources sought synopsis only. Questions should be submitted by email to kent.d.braden.civ@mail.mil. Responses to this synopsis in the form a of a capability statement, indicating the company's interest and experience with this type of work should not exceed two pages in length. This information will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this qualified sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published on the FBO website. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate response to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation announcement. Specified Requirement: Army Contracting Command - Rock Island (ACC-RI), Rock Island, IL is seeking sources for a potential contractor to perform the following type of service: The provision of equipment, logistical planning, consultant coordination, and the installation required to allow the U.S. Government to operate PATRIOT Missile Systems using commercial power. Contractor will provide commercial power equipment that can convert commercial power to PATRIOT power, while maintaining a constant flow of power without disconnecting the equipment. This requirement will increase operational readiness and decrease sustainment costs. Area of performance will be Camp As Saliyah (CAS), Qatar. Responses to this sources sought must be emailed to kent.d.braden.civ@mail.mil no later than 1:00 pm CST, 15 May, 2013. Please place quote mark Attention: PATRIOT Commercial Power - Camp As Saliyah, Qatar quote mark in the subject line of the email. This notice is to assist ACC-RI in determining qualified sources only. A SOLICITATION IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date and all interested parties must respond to the solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement.
