Description
Amendment #5 This amendment #5 to RFP 240562 is issued to provide answers to offeror generated questions. Specifically this RFP is modified as follows: 1.0 Question: Your Specification document NX-C-XFD-SPC-HU-001 Version 2 dated 28Mar2013 3.1.3 Lead 3.1.3.2 requires lead to be 'bonded (with an adhesive....' and is mentioned again in the same terms in section 3.1.3.8. Section 3.1.3.9 then states 'Adhesives (if used)' which appears to contradict the earlier sections. Clarification is required. Is an adhesive required, and if not, what is a clearer definition of the meaning of 'bonding' in this context? Answer: Section 3.1.3.2 states that the lead shall be sandwiched and bonded (with an adhesive or method approved by BSA in writing). 2.0 Question: Your Specification document NX-C-XFD-SPC-HU-001 Version 2 dated 28Mar2013 3.6 Doors 3.6.3 requires a shock absorber to be provided at the open and closed position. Past experience has shown that this will interfere with the correct operation of the PPS interlock system in the closed position (manual doors only). Answer: Shock absorption is required at both the open and closed positions to decelerate the inertia of the heavy moving door in order to minimize any shock imparted to the attached enclosure. Except as noted herein, all requirements as set forth in RFP solicitation request 240562 remain unchanged. Any questions should be addressed in writing to the attention of George Woods.
