- Questionaire RFI Title: "DoDEA Pupil Transportation Management Automated Information System" Classification Code: D -- Information technology services, including telecommunications services NAICS Code: 511 -- Publishing Industries (except Internet)/511210 -- Software Publishers Synopsis: REQUEST FOR INFORMATION Department of Defense Education Activity Pacific Pupil Transportation Management Automated Information System THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. Department of Defense Education Activity Pacific (DoDEA Pacific) is performing market research primarily in order to determine if there are Consumer-off-the-Shelf (COTS) software products that possess the capabilities and functionality necessary to fulfill the needs of our new Pupil Transportation Management System (PTMS). This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This RFI does not commit the government to contract for any supply or service. Further, at this time, the DoDEA Pacific is not seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Respondents are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party's expense. 1. Description and Purpose The DoDEA Pacific, in support of the Pupil Transportation Services, is seeking information regarding the procurement of a COTS automated information system to facilitate planning, monitoring, and controlling scheduled and unscheduled bus transportation for K-12 DoD Dependents in Guam, Japan, Korea, and Okinawa school districts. For more information see attached PTMS Requirements Specification document. The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is, 511210, Applications software, computer, packaged. In addition, code 541512, Information management computer systems integration is applicable. The small business size standard is 750 employees. The anticipated Product Service Code is 7030, ADP Software. The goal of this RFI is to determine if there are COTS products in existence that both fulfill our basic business and technical requirements and comply with Federal Information Security Management Act 2002 requirements. This RFI will not be used to select an end product, rather it will assist DoDEA Pacific in selecting an appropriate acquisition strategy and vehicle based on the markets' ability to fulfill these requirements with a suitable COTS product. 2.
